Tamer Hosny seems well on his way to becoming as big a star in North America as he already is in his native country. He’s already worked with Snoop Dogg, and he’s recently been making headlines for his work with hip-hop superstar Akon. Hosny and Akon have already shared a video on Hosny’s YouTube channel showing Hosny teaching Akon some Arab songs. There has been talk of the two collaborating on a number of projects. Their duet “Welcome to the Life” is expected to be released at any point now. It is unknown at this moment what the two will do together next.

Akon might have caused a stir by going topless in Dubai during a 2009 show, but the singer still has every intention of investing his millions of dollars in a Dubai home. No one will deny that Akon can build homes wherever he pleases, and he has recently reiterated his desire to find a penthouse somewhere in Dubai. Whether Akon builds the penthouse himself, or purchases a luxury home that will fit his considerable needs and budget is unknown. The singer has every intention of making this a reality as soon as he possibly can. No word yet on when he would move.

The headaches Akon has experienced with his social network site, which was designed as a way for celebrities and their fans to interact in unique ways, probably aren’t going to disappear anytime soon. Atlanta Business Video is now taking Akon to court for damages in excess of 127, 000 dollars. The company alleges that the R&B singer has still not paid them for the dozens and dozens of hours they put into video work they were hired to do for Akon’s failed endeavor. It is unknown at this time if Akon will fight the matter, or if he will opt to settle.

Dubai Akon fans are definitely in for a treat. The R&B mogul is heading there at the end of March to take part in the My Music X Festival in Atlantis Beach. He’ll be part of the first day of the festival. Akon is expected to be one of the main attractions for a lineup that also includes X-Factor finalist Cher Lloyd, as well as the popular dance act Example and DJ Wire. This part of the world is not unfamiliar to the star. He last performed there in November of just last year. Tickets to the festival are still available.

Akon has filed documents at the Georgia Superior Court requesting that he be formally identified as the father of two of his sons, born in 2008 and 2009 respectively and presumably with no legal father currently listed.
