Afghanistan blast soldier named - Source: Daily Express - London - UK
A soldier killed by a bomb blast in southern Afghanistan has been by the Ministry of Defence as Private Matthew Thornton of the Territorial Army. Pte Thornton, 28, from 4th Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment, was on patrol in Babaji, Helmand Province, when he was killed by an improvised explosive device on Wednesday.
