One Direction member Zayn Malick does have plans for himself beyond the enormous success he has experienced as a member of One Direction, but it surprisingly doesn’t involve music. The 1D member has already experienced extraordinary success with the group, opening a store, selling out venues around the world, taking part in a documentary about the group, becoming a millionaire before thirty, and much more. It perhaps makes sense then that Malick would like to resume the boxing career he began as a teenager. Malick has started training on the side, but he hasn’t indicated a timeframe for this pursuit.

One Direction has seemingly had a lot of fun working with documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock on a film about the band. In fact, One Direction has even had a little bit of fun at the documentarian’s expense. Morgan Spurlock is of course best known for the documentary “Supersize Me”, in which Spurlock lived on nothing but McDonald’s food for an entire month. One Direction must have seen the movie at some point, since Spurlock recently remarked how the band has teased him in the past by eating McDonald’s food right in front of him. Spurlock knows it’s all in good fun.

One Direction might be the hottest boy band in the world right now, with a massive tour and upcoming film currently on their already-crowded plates, but that hasn’t saved them from annoying some of their fans recently. What’s drawing surprise and disappointment from so many of One Direction’s fans are the high prices of the band’s merchandise when they come to their area. T-shirts have been going for as much as 25 pounds, while hoodies are going for as much as 40 pounds. The criticism revolves around the fact that most of the band’s listeners are too young to afford such high prices.

One Direction has certainly been keeping busy with their Take Me Home Tour. And now they’re adding yet another date to the schedule, and also giving fans an opportunity to be part of an upcoming concert film project. London’s O2 arena will host One Direction on April 6th, and anyone lucky enough to get tickets will have a chance to be part of the filming that will take place for the band’s first film, 1D. The film will feature performance footage, as well as scenes of the band taking on the day to day tasks and challenges of a huge world tour.

Their album Up All Night followed on November 21st reaching #2 on the UK Albums Chart, narrowly missing out on #1 to Rihanna. When their album Up All Night was released in the USA, it debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, setting the record for the highest-selling debut album by a British boy band.
