Kesha Unveils Upcoming Single ‘Yippee-Ki-Yay’ Featuring T-Pain

Kesha has officially announced her latest single, Yippee-Ki-Yay, in collaboration with T-Pain. The pop star took to social media yesterday (March 24) to share the news following several teaser clips in recent days. Fans can expect the highly anticipated track to drop this Thursday (March 27).

The teasers provide an overview of the upcoming content, featuring Kesha dressed in lingerie against a backdrop of country-inspired guitar chords. A distinctive “yee-haw” rings out at the end of the clips, adding a Western flair. In one of the videos, she is also seen crawling on all fours in a dimly lit hotel corridor.

A Fresh Start in Kesha’s Musical Journey

This new single marks Kesha’s first original release of 2024 and her third since cutting ties with RCA and Kemosabe Records. Following her fifth studio album, Gag Order, in 2023, the singer embarked on a new independent path by launching her label, Kesha Records. A full-length album is reportedly in the works, set to arrive later this year.

A New Era of Artistic Freedom

Kesha’s shift toward independence began with Joyride, her first song released under her ownership after leaving Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records. Since then, she has also dropped the track Delusional and contributed to a remix of Charli XCX’s Spring Breakers.

The singer has been vocal about her plans to challenge the structures of the music industry. After her legal dispute with Dr. Luke, she unveiled a ten-year plan last October to transform the company.

UK Tour Dates Confirmed for 2025

In addition to her upcoming music, Kesha is set to hit the stage across the UK in 2025. She will perform at London’s Mighty Hoopla festival, sharing the lineup with Ciara, Kate Nash, Pixie Lott, Loreen, Vengaboys, and more. Fans can also catch her at headline shows in Manchester and Glasgow this May.
