Madonna Supports Kamala Harris Presidential Candidacy

Pop star Madonna has just returned from a Paris trip, out of desperation to participate in the forthcoming election. On Thursday, Oct. 31, the songstress took to her Instagram page to post several shots depicting her Paris experience. She was stoked to create her vote. "Paris was so FUN!. It was hard to leave, but I had to come home to V.O.T.E.," she posted, adding her endorsement "@kamalaharris For. President!!!! "

A History of Support for Harris

Madonna's support for Kamala Harris isn't new. She expressed her admiration earlier in 2020 when Harris ran as Joe Biden's vice-presidential candidate. Praising Harris's qualities, she wrote, "Kamilla [sic] is an intelligent, compassionate, well-spoken leader who stands for justice and equal rights for all people."

Musicians Rally Behind Harris

As the presidential election draws close, Madonna is the latest in the list of musicians to declare support for Harris. Last week alone, the likes of Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez, and Ricky Martin spoke out in support after a racist joke about Puerto Rico had been made at a Trump rally. Other famous endorsements from big names include Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Cardi B, Jason Isbell, John Legend, and Katy Perry to support Harris.

Star-Studded Events Mark Final Campaign Push

Kamala Harris is continuing her campaign rallies in the days counting down to the Nov. 5 election, with multiple artists performing at rally events. Cardi B and GloRilla headline in Milwaukee on Nov. 1 as part of the "When We Vote We Win" event, among several rally concerts. Earlier in the week in Madison, Wisconsin, performances by the likes of Gracie Abrams, Mumford & Sons, Remi Wolf, and The National's Aaron Dessner and Matt Berninger took center stage. In Houston on Oct. 25, Beyoncé and Destiny's Child's Kelly Rowland joined in, too - with Beyoncé offering her robust endorsement of Harris in a stirring speech.
