New Kids on the Block Celebrates 35th Anniversary With 'Step By Step' Album Reissue
In tribute to a momentous milestone, the New Kids on the Block have officially announced the remaking of their famous album Step By Step. The new reissue is to be released on June 13, which marks 35 years since the original. Most exciting for fans is that this is the very first time this is being issued on vinyl for its original release. The reissue promises to be a highly nostalgic yet refreshing experience for long-time supporters as well as first-timers, laden with bonus materials, unreleased tracks, and remixes. Compared to earlier editions, this new release intends to rekindle rather than rehash the passion and memories of the group's golden age.

Nostalgic Moments Shared With Fans on Social Media
The group chose to pump up the excitement by announcing the news on their Instagram in a nostalgic touch. They released a reel with some old footage of Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood from the recordings and performances of the Step-By-Step album. In it, a young-spirited Jordan Knight states, "I don't see how anyone could not like the album, 'cause it's so many different styles of music." On the flip side, this varied sound was one of the important factors in making that album such a blockbuster success. Step By Step was released on June 5, 1990, and soon shot to the top of the Billboard charts, giving the boy band their second No. 1 album and further stamping their mark in pop history.
Las Vegas Residency to Accompany the Album Reissue
But the anniversary celebrations go way beyond an album reissue. The band is now preparing for the much-anticipated Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The first shows will begin on June 20, with performances continuing in June and July and then resuming in November and February. Unlike its usual tours, this residency will afford fans an intimate setting to connect with the band like never before. "We cherish every opportunity that we get to perform for our fans, but a Las Vegas residency gives us an opportunity to take our performance and interaction with our fans to the next level," Wahlberg added back in September. Knowing that Las Vegas will never be the same after New Kids on the Block and their Blockheads do their thing, Wahlberg said, "It will be truly transformed."
