Queens of the Stone Age have announced a run of US concerts with Pixies and Wheelchair Sports Camp for May 2027. It starts in San Diego on May 1 and ends in Boston on May 24. Across those 16 dates, the support lineup stays the same.

Before the tour, before even the album release, there is a registration deadline. On Sunday, October 25, the artist-presale signup closes at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. The presale itself starts on Wednesday, October 28 at 10 a.m. local time. Public sale is Thursday, October 29, also at 10 a.m. local time.

Which time goes in the calendar?

For registration, use Eastern time. For buying tickets, use the clock where the show takes place. This makes a difference if you are comparing cities: Boston’s 10 a.m. arrives before California’s. Two dates on the same tour can have the same advertised sale hour without opening together.

A Saint Paul fan may notice a different hour altogether on the venue website. Grand Casino Arena gives 10:59 p.m. on October 25 as the signup cutoff, whereas the national announcement says 11:59 p.m. Eastern. Minnesota is an hour behind Eastern time. Both notices lead to the same moment, despite how they look on the page. Check the zone before deciding you have an extra hour.

How does the route fit together?

Four California shows begin the run: Viejas Arena in San Diego on May 1, Kia Forum in Inglewood on May 2, Oakland Arena on May 4 and Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center on May 5. Seattle and Portland follow, then Salt Lake City and Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado.

The Midwest dates are closely packed. Saint Paul falls on May 14, Milwaukee on May 15 and Rosemont on May 16. Indianapolis, Columbus, Pittsburgh and Detroit come after that, with Boston’s TD Garden wrapping up the US leg. For someone whose nearest date is awkward, the neighbouring dates offer another place to start looking. They are alternatives to compare, rather than a recommendation to travel between every show.

The same support acts appear throughout this announcement. That removes one complication for Pixies or Wheelchair Sports Camp fans: there is no need to match a particular opener to a particular night among these 16 dates.

The shows take their name from Perfecth, due on October 30 through Matador Records. Josh Homme and Michael Shuman produced the nine-song album. It lands a day after general sale, leaving about six months of listening time before the first US concert. Plenty can happen to a listener’s favourite track in that gap. The record will have time to become familiar before fans find out how the band brings it to a stage.
