Why?That's the question I askWhy is it we don't do what it takesTo inspire others in a positive way?Why is it we limit our power and potentialJust because we're afraid?Why do we live blindly to the truth around us?Why don't we look past the veilAnd see the beauty that surrounds us?What I'm really saying isWhy do we so strongly believe in a worldWhere life is up and then it's down?Where one day we smile, the next we frown?Why do we think this is what life is all about?Why do we find more joy in killing than we do healing?Why is it we aren't willing to begin fulfillingOur mission and start buildingA society based on everyone's well being?Why do we live in a world where weDesire things but can't afford it?Why are we afraid of change and yet we ask for it?Why is it we want honesty shown toward usBut stuff truth in our secret storage?Why is it OK to work for businessesThat work their employees like they're a slave?And why don't we do something to shift the systemInstead of being more concerned about getting paid?Why do we support corporations that oppressCondemn others who we see as wrongAnd yet see the corporation as just?Why don't people see how corporations benefitOff of the misery of others?Why don't we as people do somethingTo benefit our sisters and brothers?Why do people invest their wellnessInto an industry that makes money off of people's illness?Pump people full of pillsTill they slowly killFor them, just another day of businessAs your money and body is what they stealWhy do we vote for a system that has proven to be outdated?And why do we still vote for these politiciansThinking it will bring about all sorts of changeOnly to have been mistaken?Really, why vote for the lesser of two evilsWhen both are still evil?Yes voting can bring about solutionsBut a corrupt system uses voting to deceive youIt's full of illusionsWhy do we have to work to surviveWhen we have enough resources to liveWithout having to kill ourselves to get by?Why do we have a banking systemThat makes money off of our debt?Why is we don't do anything but be slaves for a systemThat's takes till we have nothing left?Why is it we never question the official storyThe government and media tell us?Why is it we believe in their talesAfter they have shown to routinely fail us?Why is it we allow others to abuse usAnd fall victim to fear, anger and doubt?Why act like you are not powerful enoughTo stand your ground and be proud?You think it's OK to be beat around and put down?Why is it we live in a culture that lives off of drama?Why is it we live in a culture that thinks fear will make us stronger?Why live declaring peace is weak as your mantra?All it will do is haunt yaBut really, really why is it we have accessTo more resources than anytime in historyYet we're told we have a lack of resourcesLike water, food, shelterYeah, something is missingDo you think the education you were taughtIn school was meant for you to live in the world?Ever wonder why when you're an adultIt's like you can barely survive in the world?Why do think schools don't teach youThe in depth information on how banks work?Because if people really knew the truthThe banks would be outta workWait, then again, the banking systemHas shown that it's disloyalSo why, why do we invest our moneyInto these big banks and act like their royal?Are they really that too big too fail?Because they already have and stillYeah, why aren't we taught how to be creative?Why aren't we taught how to truly make it?Say it's the parents job for the childTo learn all those kind of essentials?If that's the case then why hell do we even go to school?We seriously must be mentalWhy is it we believe in a religionThat excludes and upholds the idea of sin?Why is it OK to take power away from womenAnd strictly give it to men?In other words, why support a religionThat says it's about truth and loveBut when it comes down to itIt's more about how much power can be won?And seriously, I gotta ask why thoughDo people think that god can be loving but also vengeful?Why add the human like qualities to a higher consciousnessTo justify your own insanity?Talk about sinfulWhy is it people exclaim not to worship idolsBut when it comes to their religion they uphold their idol?Why is it people hang their idol based in an image of suffering?I doubt these people would create shrinesOf their child being crucifiedSo why is another thing seen as terribly sickeningAnd the other a ritual when they're both beyond discomforting?Why man...why?Why is the air polluted and poisoned daily?Why is our food contaminated with chemicals?Why do we still got people living in poverty? I thought we were advancedWhy do we got police brutality?Why do we got corruption in the government?Why do we work for money and not work from the heart?Why do we live in fear?Why don't we live a life of truth?Why don't we demonstrate love?Why don't we be the change we seek?Why don't we, why don't we just be?
