I killed my old self left her in the past, I see my future I’m not going back. Used to feel like I was under attack, then my Lord Savior saved me from my past.
I looked back at my old self I’m so proud
proud that he did it cuz I don’t know how I would’ve done it with all of those doubts,
I left some people behind cuz they held me back from my prime, I used to try and go find validation from unsettled minds
I know better now I didn’t need them friends around
I used to try and go find my love from guys who couldn’t give me time, searching for love and it never felt right (never felt right), I don’t know why
I don’t deserve your love still you gave me your trust feel like I don’t do enough, you took desires of lust now I look back at my life in disgust

My minds to strong to be told what to do, and how to ac, what to wear, this or that. See I been on my own time, I been doing just fine, I want the word on my mind
I’m thankful for all of the time he gave me strength to survive now I feel like I can fly
