For Ella Lyrics

[Verse 1]

You were running through the backyard

Said the puddles were the ocean

Now the smell of rainy days always remind me of you

Took a ride into the west side

To see the city with your own eyes

But the flicker of the light was too bright

You got back into the car

Ella, Ella you're a shooting star

[Verse 2]

Open water by your bedside

Broke a promise that I stand by

Go to sleep and dip your feet in

You'll see, the ocean isn't far

Ella, Ella you're a shooting star

A floating ballerina through the yard

Ella we'll remember who you are

Love for you is always in my heart

[Outro]

Ella, Ella you're a shooting star

A floating ballerina through the yard

Ella we'll remember who you are

Love for you is always in my heart

Ooh

Ooh

Ooh

Ooh
