Put the Word Out Lyrics

Got to put the word out

We can take it higher... than high

...

We've got a message for the nation

To put your mind at ease

It's just an open invitation

So you can party how you please

So take your mind off what you're doin'

And let your body go

Let's dig it right into this groovin'

You've got to show

So put the word out

Spread it around

We're gonna party tonight

So put the word out

All over town

We're gonna raise that roof high

(We can reach right up to the sky)

We've got a funky situation

That's all you need to know

Just like the train that leaves the station

You've got to blow

And when the feeling's bout to get'cha

We're gonna cook some mo'

Turn up the heat so it can hit'cha

We're gonna burn you on the floor

So put the word out

Spread it around

We're gonna party tonight (put the word out)

Yes, put the word out

All over town

We're gonna raise that roof high

(We can reach right up to the sky)

Got to put the word out (higher)

We can take it higher... than high

Got to put the word out (higher)

We can take it high...

Put the word... all around... high

So put the word out

Spread it around

We're gonna party tonight (put the word out)

So put the word out

All over town

We're gonna raise that roof

So put the word out

All over town

We're gonna party tonight

Yes, put the word out

Spread it around

We're gonna raise that roof high

(We can reach right up to the sky)

Got to put the word out (higher)

We can take it higher... than high

...

Got to put the word out

We can take it higher
