Alison Lyrics

Alison wrote me a song and told me to listen

She picked up her guitar and started humming her melody

I remember wanting to know if she needed assistance

She said why don't you try you might strike the right

chord in me?

So what's it to you now?

You're going down

And what's it to you now?

You're going down

Nobody laughed when Alison said she'd be famous

Although nobody really knew that she had a voice

Alison hit number one in the start of September

And by Christmas she was already singing 'bout other

boys

So what's it to you now?

You're going down

And what's it to you now?

You're going down

Sure it was seven inches of gold produced by desire

But fifteen of minutes of fame was more than she would

share

You see Alison's now got a new favourite taking her

higher

And I'm just a kid trying to work my way outta here

So what's it to you now?

You're going down

What's it to you now?

You're going down

When Alison's band fell apart she wrote me a letter

Guess she was trying to thank me for letting her go

She said you keep on playing her songs in lack of

something better

But I bet she was wondering how she would do back home

So what's it to you now?

You're going down

What's it to you now?

You're going down

What's it to you now?

You're going down

What's it to you now?

You're going down
