Movin' Up Lyrics

Came into town with the air of a conquering evil

Like millions before him searching for stardom and fame

All day with fortunes, black limousines

The answer to all his dreams

Movin' up, step by step

He's movin' up

Born on the streets where a man has to fight for survival

And learning you can't put your trust in no one but yourself

Desperately seeking a night to entertain

Spreading his wings to be free

Movin' up, step by step

Movin' up (Higher)

Movin' up, step by step

Movin' up

Poor man to rich man, he's now past the point of returning

Climbing each rung of the ladder, his head in the clouds

Sitting on top of the world

How can he get any higher?

'Cause he's movin' up

Step by step

Movin' up

Movin' up (Higher)

Step by step

Movin' up (Higher)

Step by step

Movin' up (Higher)

Step by step
