The Weekend Lyrics

[Verse 1]

I don't talk about the weekend

You'd already know if you're a good friend

And I can't take another headline

Saying things are gonna be fine

[Chorus]

So if you need someone to love or hate, la-la-la

Go on and find yourself a Watergate, la-la-la

And if you need someone to wear your cross, la-la-la

Well go and find yourself someone who's lost, la-la-la

[Post-Chorus]

Hey, are you ready for the weekend?

Yeah, yeah

Are you ready for the weekend?

Yeah, yeah

[Verse 2]

Some people need to show you whеre they been

Therе ain't nothing cool about them rubbing it in

If you got to tell someone you're a boss man

Chances are you ain't a boss then

[Chorus]

And when you need the world to look at you, la-la-la

Just remember what folks are going through, la-la-la

You pick your sides and all think that you're right, la-la-la

And you believe in it with all your might, la-la-la

[Post-Chorus]

Hey, are you ready for the weekend?

Yeah, yeah

Are you ready for the weekend?

Yeah, yeah

[Bridge]

Hey, come on, aright

[Chorus]

Ah-oh, I don't talk about the weekend

You'd already know if you're a good friend

And I can't take another headline

Saying things are gonna be just fine

[Post-Chorus]

Hey, are you ready for the weekend?

Yeah, yeah

Are you ready for the weekend?

Yeah, yeah

Are you ready for the weekend?

Yeah, yeah

Sing it now, sing it now

Are you ready for the weekend?

Yeah, yeah (Oh)

[Outro]

So if you need someone to judge tonight, la-la-la

Then put yourself under the spotlight, la-la-la

I suggest you find yourself a friend, la-la-la

And just don't talk about the weekend, la-la-la
