Once Upon a Tree Lyrics

Once upon a tree

He died at Calvary

Once upon a tree

He suffered loss

Greatest story told

Starting with these few words

No not with once upon a time

But once upon a tree

Chorus:

Once upon a tree (on a tree)

He died at Calvary

Once upon a tree (on a tree)

He suffered loss (He paid the cost)

Greatest story told (ever told)

Starting these few words (these words)

No not with once upon a time

But once upon a tree (tree, a, a tree)

Bridge:

Upon it they crucified (My Jesus)

He suffered, He bled and died

(That you and I) So that you and I can receive the gift

of life

(He cried) He cried at Gethsemane

(Let this cup pass from me) "Father, please let this

pass from me"

(But then He died) Then He took up His cross

The Savior of man to be (For You, for You)

To be

Repeat Chorus

No not with once upon a time,

But once upon a tree
